Main Responsibilites
In this opportunity, I was given the task of evaluating the Deall Jobs website as part of the recruitment selection process. As a candidate, my responsibility is to evaluate the existing website and identify potential improvements that can be implemented.
The Framework
Top-Down Approach
My approach to the problem at hand is to use the top-down method. Rather than take the risk of making a biased assessment based on the appearance of an existing design, I choose to stick to best practices that many people have agreed upon.
UX Audit
UX Laws Evaluation
Aesthetic Usability Effect : Today's corporate sites tend to be simple and don't have many graphic elements. There are no elements to catch the user's eye. We can add graphic elements to the banner section at the top.
Doherty Threshold : Loading time during page changes between the overview page and the jobs is too long, making the user wait. Also, there is no progress indicator on the system, so users don't know what's going on.
Jacob's Law : Instead of creating your own pattern, it's better to use a pattern that is already used on several other platforms that are frequently used by users.
Millers Law : Too much benefit information is displayed, so users are often confused by its appearance. It's better to display only 4-6 pieces of information on 1 page, just read more.
Principles of Design Evaluation
Typography : The text used for the description on the company page is too small, it can be difficult to read.
Emphasis : Even though it's highlighted with a shadow effect, the overall information about this insight is still difficult to discern at a glance. In addition, there are no symbols to help you understand the context.
Emphatizing
As a job seeker, thing that I noticed when looking for a job are
What business is the company in?
The company has how many employees? This is to consider whether to work in a large or small company.
Where is the location?
Web profile (ensuring company credibility)
There are opening jobs that we want
Once the left is fulfilled, the other thing I need are
Check who works there (look for alumni or acquaintances who can be asked about work life there)
Read the comments on glassdoor
Comparing with the offerings of other companies
As a job seeker, company overview information is not too important at first. What I think is important is the insight it provides, such as what the company does and how many employees it has. Therefore, it is better that the hierarchy in the job listings can be changed.

Reflection & Evaluation
Project Evaluation
After going through the selection process, I unfortunately did not make it to the next stage of becoming a product designer at Deal Jobs. Nonetheless, this portfolio is significant as it shows my ability to perform a comprehensive UX audit.
My Personal Reflection
This project has provided me with valuable insights into the existing UX laws and design principles for evaluating current designs.
Due to the relatively short project timeline, the approach involved utilizing the three mentioned frameworks. In the future, if time permits, I aim to conduct heuristic evaluation for a more in-depth assessment.
